Description

The Software Test Engineer will test and debug manufactured equipment using systematic manual and automated tests. The role involves creating test scripts, executing test cycles, analysing results, and ensuring all software features meet specifications. The engineer will work closely with development teams to ensure quality, compliance, and continuous improvement in testing processes.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with development teams to understand product architecture and testing objectives
• Design and execute manual and automated test cases to detect defects and validate features
• Conduct early-stage firmware testing with engineers to identify programming issues
• Prepare and maintain test documentation including test plans, procedures, and acceptance reports
• Lead continuous improvement efforts, mentor team members, and strengthen automation capabilities

Qualifications

• BEng/BTech in Electronics or an equivalent engineering qualification
• 5–10 years professional experience in software development and/or testing (preferably firmware or embedded systems)
• Strong understanding of software QA principles, testing methodologies, and development processes
• ISTQB Certification and/or experience in technical team leadership or project coordination is an advantage
